I have been devoted to the paranormal since early childhood. While living in my childhood home I had a number of personal experiences which left me with questions I eagerly sought answers for. I have also been featured on Ghostly Encounters relating my experiences with an entity.
I maintains a respectful scientific/skeptical approach when dealing with claims of a paranormal nature, however I am a FIRM believer and am committed to helping anyone who may be seeking help/validation of their own paranormal experiences
My Personal Paranormal Story:
Well when i was about 5 years old my parents wanting to get out of the city, moved me and my siblings out to a village called Memramcook, N.B. The house we moved into was a 100+ year old Victorian style home, large and quite beautiful on the inside and had four floor's including the stone foundation basement and a very large two room attic.
After living there for approx. 3 years, at about 8-9 years of age, I started hearing footsteps at night above my bedroom (in the attic). At first i assumed my parents were up there for some reason, and gave it no thought. As time went on I began reading novels sometime's till very late (1-2 am) and I would hear footsteps almost every night after midnight.
Wanting to be a police officer as a child, I gathered all my courage one night and grabbed my flashlight leaving the comforts of my room. I checked in my parents room and they were both asleep. So i ventured up into the attic.
Nervous and scared I checked as quietly as I could in the first room and saw nothing. when I passed the doorway into the second room I saw a white mist but could clearly make out an old man in suspenders with glasses's and a roundish face. I not sure how or why but I wasn't afraid.
In retrospect, I would think a 9 year old seeing a ghost would have traumatized most children but instead I felt calm and in a strange way protected. Within a matter of seconds he was gone, and I never saw him in the attic like that again. Up until the day I moved out of that house (when i was 16) whenever I looked up into the attic mirror's i could see his face looking back at me. The footsteps, now less frequent, continued.
I once asked my father about the history of the house and he told me in the villagers knew the house as "la Maison Des 3 Soeurs" the house of 3 sisters.
The "story" is that an wealthy overprotective father, who had 3 daughter and 1 son, built the house. In his will, the house and all his estate (there's supposed to be a treasure in the basement, I checked found nothing), was to be left to his 3 daughters so long as none of them ever married. If they married they were disowned from the estate. The daughters all wanting the large estate agreed, and they all lived in that house unmarried until the day of there death's. Or so the story goes, suspected male friends have always been suggested but never proven that I know of.
Well that's my story. I will say that these experience's have led to me now being a Paranormal Investigator. And I have always dreamed of going back to my childhood home and doing an investigation.
