Shadow People - Shinning light into a "dark" phenomena….

For as long as people have been keeping historical records, reports have circulated about mysterious shadow people. This phenomenon is as old as time itself and is one that, in modern times, continues to be a powerful element in the paranormal world. Shadow people, in fact, may provide an answer to a question that has plagued mankind for many centuries. “What really happens to us after we die?”

An exploration into the controversial field of shadow people yields several consistent descriptions.

· A shadow person is described as a mass “darker than dark,” a blackness so profound that it seemingly hypnotizes the mind, as the eyes attempt to make sense of an unimaginable sight.

· The second key component is that of a general humanoid shape to the shadow. This does not mean that it will have a shape, for example, of a big muscle-bound man there to intimidate you—but it is believed that the shape bears a resemblance to the once living soul that now inhabits it. In many cases, these figures, although bearing a human resemblance, do shift and morph into things like animals or floating shadows—or in worse-case scenarios, things out of our deepest nightmares.

· Thirdly, shadow people have no detail, no facial characteristics (as with apparitions). They are like their name states: shadows—dark, foggy masses that have no individuality when it comes to appearance.

Who are shadow people? Why do they stay around?

The answer to this question is one that is solely dependent on the location and the case at hand. It has been found that in the majority of shadow people sightings, one or more departed family members or friends are potential and probable culprits. Now, of course, this can never be officially confirmed. Along with having no physical characteristics, shadow people are not known to communicate or provide clues as to why they’ve chosen to appear. As with all ghosts or spirits, it is my belief that they were all once living; breathing human beings and that they lived a life on this planet, or on another. It is not inconceivable that, for some of these people, the idea of death and/or leaving their loved ones could be so unbearable that they would be willing to do just about ANYTHING to stay. This could mean they are a shadow or a figureless fog forever bound to this world, longing to be heard or seen, but consigned to becoming mere glimpses in the corner of most people's eyes, trapped in a black abyss . . .

This is 100% at the observer's discretion. In some cases the phenomena has been happening for such prolonged periods of time that to some it seems almost heartbreaking to part from their dark friends. Even in cases when the individual is somewhat fearful of the entity, a close bond of friendship may have formed. In other scenarios the decision is simple, “It scares me; I want it gone.”

People do not realize the power that they exert over the world around them. Taking a strong stand and confidently standing up to these entities usually means a return to normalcy. There are exceptions, however, when the shadow figure contains a much more malevolent component than believed and this requires the assistance of experienced, trained professionals. This is no joke. Inhuman entities are infamous for masquerading as anything and everything other than what they truly are. EVIL. Nothing can ever be excluded when the potential for the inhuman exists. Entities can even disguise themselves as child spirits, encouraging and guiding one to do things that person would normally never imagine doing. Any entity that tries to motivate you to change or modify your way of life in a negative way should be approached with caution and dealt with professionally and accordingly.

In any case of paranormal activity or haunting, one should never be afraid to seek help or assistance from a local paranormal group or from respected elders. Knowledge of the past can be gained if those living today are willing to open their minds and listen to lessons already learned.
